Issued to aliens who come to China for sightseeing, family visiting or other private purposes.

 

Original US Passport: You must provide your original United States Passport with SIX MONTHS validity.  You must have at least one blank page remaining in your passport visa pages.

 

Visa Application Form: (Q1) You must provide one completed visa application form, signed and dated.

BUSINESS VISA  (F-VISA)

Issued to aliens who are invited to China for a visit, an investigation, a lecture, to do business, scientific-technological and culture exchanges, short-term advanced studies or intern practice for a period of no more than six months.

 

Original US Passport: You must provide your original United States Passport with SIX MONTHS validity.  You must have at least one blank page remaining in your passport visa pages.

EMPLOYMENT VISA  (Z-VISA)

Issued to aliens and foreign experts who come to China for a post or employment, and his/her accompanying family members.

 

Original US Passport: You must provide your original United States Passport with SIX MONTHS validity.  You must have at least one blank page remaining in your passport visa pages.

 

Visa Application Form: (Q1) You must provide one completed visa application form, signed and dated.

 

Photos: You must provide TWO visa/passport size photos.  (2x2)

 

Invitation Letter:  You must provide an invitation letter from the host company or organization residing in China.

 

Visa Notification: Official Documents (Original Documents) issued by the authorized Chinese unit, and a Work Permit for Aliens issued by the Chinese Labor Ministry/ Foreign Expert's License issued by the Chinese Foreign Expert Bureau.

A visa notification issued by the authorized Chinese unit or proof of kinship, e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc, is required for the accompanying family members.

Former Z-visa holders and Residence Permit Holders who have returned to their home country cannot extend the residence permit in the United States or Canada.   You must apply for a F or Z visa and complete residence permit formalities in China.

STUDENT VISA  (X-VISA)

Issued to aliens who come to China for study, advanced studies or intern practice for a period of more than six months.

 

Original US Passport: You must provide your original United States Passport with SIX MONTHS validity.  You must have at least one blank page remaining in your passport visa pages.

 

Visa Application Form: (Q1) You must provide one completed visa application form, signed and dated.

 

Student Visa Application:  (JW101 or JW202) An approved Foreign Student visa application form issued by the authorized Chinese unit, and an enrollment letter from the Chinese school.

 

Physical Examination Form:  For the applicant who will study in China for more than one year shall also provide a Physical Examination Certificate for Foreign Citizen.

 

Photos: You must provide TWO visa/passport size photos.  (2x2)

 

Invitation Letter:  You must provide an invitation letter from the host company or organization residing in China.

 

Additional information

(X) visa is valid for one entry, three months. The holder of a (X) visa shall go through residential formalities in the local public security department within thirty days of entry into China.

 

Any person suffering from mental disorder, leprosy, AIDS, venereal diseases, contagious tuberculosis or other such infectious diseases shall not be permitted to enter China.

 

The Consular Officers have the authority to refuse any visa applications inconsistent with Chinese laws and regulations, or revoke issued visas.

TRANSIT  VISA  (G-VISA)

Issued to Aliens transiting through China, are valid for 90-days with a maximum duration of stay of 7-days Per Entry.

 

Original US Passport: You must provide your original United States Passport with SIX MONTHS validity.  You must have at least one blank page remaining in your passport visa pages.

 

Visa Application Form: (Q1) You must provide one completed visa application form, signed and dated.

 

Photos: You must provide TWO visa/passport size photos.  (2x2)

 

Airline Ticket:  Valid Airline Ticket and Visa of Country of Destination.  Must show a flight out of China to Destination.

RESIDENT  VISA  (D-VISA)

 

 

Original US Passport: You must provide your original United States Passport with SIX MONTHS validity.  You must have at least one blank page remaining in your passport visa pages.

 

Visa Application Form: (Q1) You must provide one completed visa application form, signed and dated.

 

Photos: You must provide TWO visa/passport size photos.  (2x2)

 

Physical Examination Form:   Physical Examination Certificate for Foreign Citizen.

 

Residence Approval Certificate: issued by the Chinese public security bureau. The applicant should entrust his or her relatives within China to apply for this certificate with the said authority.

MARRIAGE REGISTRATION

 

The applicant who will go to China for marriage registration shall apply for a single/non-marital status certificate. The applicant who is a Chinese citizen shall apply for a certificate in accordance with requirements of Notary Certificate of Single Status.

 

Required Documentation:

 

An Affidavit of Single Status signed before a notary public.

 

Certified by the clerk of Court of the County in which the document is commissioned if applicable. It may be omitted if the authority in item 3 will certify directly to the notary.

Additional Information:

The applicant may only apply for an Affidavit of Single Status.

The applicant shall apply for the authentication from the Chinese Embassy or Consulate-Generals within 3 months after the Affidavit of Single Status being notarized by the notary public. The Affidavit of Single Status is valid for 6 months after being authenticated by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate-Generals.

According to the Marriage Law of the People's Republic of China, the minimum marriageability age is 22 for men and 20 for women

MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA 

 

 

MULTI ENTRY VISAS BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS BELOW

(1) The applicant shall submit a visa notification issued by the authorized Chinese unit, which specifies the validity, number of entries and duration of stay for the visa application; or

(2) The applicant has made an investment in China and shall submit the original and photocopy of the Chinese business license carrying the name of the applicant (The original one will be returned after checking); or

(3) The applicant is in a position of management in an American company which has a subsidiary in China. He/she shall submit an application letter from the American company and an invitation letter from the Chinese subsidiary company; or

(4) The applicant has visited China at least twice with the (F) visa within the past 12 months and shall submit a copy of the visa and an invitation letter from China; or

(5) The applicant need to visit China frequently in order to execute contracts signed with a Chinese company, and shall submit the original and photocopy of the contract(The original one will be returned after checking).
